Unless you are a cyno alt everyone should be on comms. It's easier to to talk you through something than type you through something. And it's easier to connect to a group when you can hear their voices, it's the difference between some random name in a chat window and hearing an actual person. And finally all combat happens over voice comms, and is essential for a pvp corp.
Right now we are using Ventrillo as a chat client. Download the client here:

Once you have everything installed you'll have to get everything configured. Make sure vent is taking audio in from your microphone and putting it out through your speakers. Each computer will have different hardware and a different configuration so your setup will probably be fairly unique.

You'll also want to set up a push to talk key that only gets used for your microphone and nothing else, personally I use clicking the middle mouse button.
Then finally connect to our server
Hostname: BreakingAmbitions.typefrag.com
Port: 9242
Password: Just check the corp channel message of the day or ask one of us for the password.
Once you are in you might notice that some people are too loud or too quiet, you can adjust each individual person by right clicking on their name, selecting Miscellaneous then Sound Effects. Add the volume special effect to them and adjust it upward or downward.
